Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker purchase beach house for $14.5 million

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have been married for almost six months, but the couple is still not living together - as the founder of the Poosh brand herself says.

But that unusual situation may be changing, as property documents confirm that the newlyweds bought their first home together. The celebrity couple chose a waterfront home in the modest town of Carpinteria - just south of Santa Barbara and Montecito - which hit the market with much fanfare over the summer. Kardashian and Barker paid $14.5 million for their new home, which previous owner Conan O'Brien paid $7.9 million for seven years ago.

O'Brien renovated the home several times during his ownership. The beach villa is equipped with two comfortable bedrooms and only one bathroom. The 1950s home offers approximately 100 square feet of living space, and there is a lower level with a bonus room, ample storage, and a carport. There's also a kitchen with granite countertops and high-end stainless-steel appliances, a living and dining room with a fireplace that overlooks the ocean through walls of glass.

The living room opens onto a large terrace that is perfect for alfresco dining, and both bedrooms share a balcony with ocean breezes and sparkling ocean views.

In addition to the relatively modest main house, there are two two-storey detached guest houses with bedrooms ideal for staff members or guests. Adjacent to the guesthouses is a two-car garage with a Tesla charging station, and there are large gates to ensure privacy. The nearly half-acre lot embraces the oceanfront, while the homes on the property are surrounded by lush tropical foliage that includes more than a dozen mature palm trees and abundant bougainvillea plants.

Some of Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker's closest new neighbours are Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Kevin Costner and George Lucas.
