Today’s dream home is located in the Caldecott region of central Singapore, from where its distinct shape rises to amaze and inspire us. Designed by A D Lab, the modern Andrew Road House will definitely leave you in awe.
Just like other properties in the neighborhood, this modern home is accessed from the second floor due to the uneven terrain that creates an unusual street-scape and forces houses to have the first floor below street level. Architects found an impressive design solution for this family home: they not only designed a sunken court protecting inhabitants from the noise of the nearby highway, but they also provided the lot with a distinct architectural style of undulating roof lines gathering around a central courtyard. The black and white theme is beautifully decorated with greenery both inside and outside, while expansive use of glass opens up the interiors to natural light.
