The futuristic design of Casa Gomez combines the love for sleek contemporary shapes with the comfort of colorful interiors and open space.
Sergio Orduna Architects, also known as SO Studio, were the ones who imagined a home filled with artwork, sculptures and custom design elements created especially for this project. “Materials and textures were key to creating an unusual interior design environment.” Apparent concrete walls, granite and wood floors were matched with glass, while Bisazza mosaic accents and a big red staircase balance the overall look.
Located in Puerto Cancun, Mexico, the inspiring house employs deconstructivism as a means of connecting the indoors and outdoors and manipulating modern architecture. This fragmentation of architectural elements allows the interior and exterior to be combined into one by visual connection, bringing the outdoors inside and vice versa.
