Robin Williams' villa for sale

Five years after actor and comedian Robin Williams passed away, his estate in Northern California, overlooking San Francisco Bay, hit the market for $ 7.25 million…

The unoccupied, unpretentious estate in the enclave called Tiberon, 16 kilometers north of the Golden Gate Bridge, occupies a double parcel in the Paradise Cay shipping community. The main element of attraction of this villa is certainly its view of San Francisco Bay, towards Richmond and Richmond-San Rafael Bridge. To maximize its view of the water, the house features floor-to-ceiling windows and a superb sea-facing terrace adorned by a swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

The iconic movie star, who marked several generations of people around the world, bought this villa in 2008 for an estimated $ 4.05 million. By the way, he grew up in this part of the world, attended school here and has always called San Francisco Bay area his home. After his death, the house was moved to a fund affiliated with his wife, Susan Schneider, who has now put it up for sale.

Built in 1987, the Mediterranean-style house is located on a small peninsula that forms a part of the Paradise Cay enclave. Constructed in the 1960s, this community was one of the last development projects allowed in the San Francisco Bay Area. Today, some 225 homes, which generally cost only a fraction of the price of Robin Williams' residence, form the community that contains the Tiberon Yacht Club.

What is surprising, given that the former owner of this villa is a celebrity, its front is wide open towards the street, with no imposing gates or high fences. With an area of just over 650 square meters, the property has six bedrooms and six and a half baths. The cozy living room with cathedral ceiling and fireplace offers truly amazing views of the bay, through the glass walls from floor to ceiling.

The tiled kitchen has a door that opens to a water-oriented yard, as is the case with the formal dining room. The nearby media room features a large television screen and a state-of-the-art video game system.

The divine master bedroom offers south and east oriented views of the bay, access to the pool and generously designed wardrobes for him and her. The master bathroom has a steam shower for two as well as a freestanding bathtub from which you can also enjoy superb views.

Along the wide corridors we can find four more bedrooms with their bathrooms, with a study room that can be converted into a bedroom. The cozy wood-paneled library features a fireplace and chestnut floors.
