NORWAY - The land of fjords

Main tourist attraction of Norway is its wonderful nature.

This beautiful country stretches all the way north of European continent. With 61,1% of its territory covered by mountains, 4,8% is lakes and rivers, 1,4 covered by eternal ice and snow and 21,3 are covered by forests. The coast of Norway is furrowed by tight bays that are called fjords. They create natural harbors which are protected from bad weather. Although it is so far north, coastal Norway has light climate conditions, thanks to Golf currents.

From 4,3 million population, 50% lives in the cities.

Fjords which are along the coast, like mountains and forests, give Norway a unique look. Traveling to Fjords with waterfalls and small fishing villages are something that you can only experience in Norway. Thousands of unpolluted rivers and lakes give extraordinary opportunities for fishing and enjoyment in the wildest parts of Europe.

The city was founded by Vikings in the 9th century, and its development reaches in 18th century. It is on the fjord of the same time, which is over 100km long, and that ends in Skagerrak bay in Baltic Sea. With frequent ferryboat line the city is connected with Denmark.
