Aston Martin Lagonda V8

The Aston Martin Lagonda V8 was the most outrageous and one of the most expensive cars presented at the London Motor Show 1976.

The Aston Martin company battling for its financial survive was extremely brave to introduce to a stunned public a car which looks - designed by William Towns - were so much different than anything else, and which interior electric features were extremely far ahead of any other car. The world’s first digital dashboard in a car was a true sensation.

The model had many issues at the beginning and its deliveries have been delayed multiple times. But the many deposits from wealthy customers saved the company!

The model was produced from 1976 to 1990. The evolution of the model was named Series 2, 3 and 4. Only about 640 cars have been produced! The engine is a 5,3 liter, 320 HP Aston Martin V8 engine with four double carburetors.

The model presented in Belgrade is a late series 2, sold new in 1985 to an Arabian prince. It is owned since 2003 by the collector Zoran Mitrovic. This very rare model has a very special dashboard with three CRT screens. Only about 140 models were produced with this kind of dashboard. The car was driven and shown on many occasions in Europe and has won several prices.
