Finally: Aston Martin presents the Roadster Vantage

The Aston Martin brand may not be enjoying their best time right now, but that doesn't mean they forgot how to have fun...

Just look at their latest car announcement - it's a roadster variant of a high-performance Vantage sports model. Two years after the current generation of Vantage models debuted, Aston Martin is launching a convertible variant to soothe all desires of their fans. Styled like the standard coupe model, the open roof version will go on sale during the summer.

Of course, the most surprising aspect of this Roadster model is the time it took for it to appear. With the exception of the lack of his roof, we can safely say that this is the same Vantage we already love and know if we look at his grace and aggressiveness. The textile roof of this model uses a Z-fold mechanism to ensure its rapid functioning, with lowering and lifting taking 6.7 and 6.8 seconds, respectively.

Under the hood, the Vantage remained almost exactly the same. It is powered by a 4.0-liter AMG V8 engine that puts out 503 horsepower. It can accelerate up to 60 miles per hour in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 305 kilometres per hour. One difference between the two models is that the Roadster does not come with the option of manual transmission, which will lead many purists to madness.

Plus, you won't have to wait long to get hold of your Vantage Roadster, as first deliveries will start from the second quarter of this year. The cost of a new sports beauty is $ 161,000.
