Cartier presents new iterations of their famous model

The return of the iconic style that debuted for the first time in 1936…

After unveiling their new Pasha watches earlier this year, Cartier has just unveiled six new iterations of its Tank Asymetrique. The new assortment, which comes as part of the Prive collection that accentuates their famous creations, brings back to life the silhouette that originally debuted in 1936.

A variation of the famous Tank model, first introduced in 1917, this time comes with a refreshed design in which the dial is tilted at an angle of 30 degrees to the right, making the iconic rectangular shape look like a diamond. Even the Arabic numerals are placed on the face of the watch at an angle, with the number 12 in the upper right corner. Retaining the original design, the watches come with the Manufacture 1917 MC mechanism, which this time comes in different cases, with different strap offerings.

Styles include a pink gold model with a gray dial and strap, as well as a yellow gold model with a champagne-colored dial and a brown strap. In addition to classic designs, the Tank Asymetrique comes with a skeletonized mechanism that reveals its internal structure.

As we find out, Tank Asymetrique will be offered in a limited edition of 100 pieces in each style.
