In the world of contemporary interior design, where the kitchen is no longer considered a purely functional backdrop but the true center of the home, the Italian brand Falmec introduces a revolutionary concept that transcends the traditional understanding of extraction technology.
The Brooklyn model, designed by Francesco Lucese, brings an entirely new aesthetic — one in which ventilation is elevated to the level of an architectural object: modular, elegant, and thoughtfully crafted to integrate seamlessly into the living space.
With its refined geometry, Brooklyn appears as a bridge — a structure suspended above the kitchen island, providing functionality but also a subtle sculptural presence. Made from satin black aluminum and smoked glass, this system offers a new definition of luxury: quieter, deeper, and deliberately composed, with a focus on comfort, atmosphere, and maximum ergonomics.
At the center of the structure lies a 90 cm extraction body that can be expanded with side modules of 45, 60, or 90 cm, as well as a module equipped with a tap. Falmec allows each element to be placed on either the left or right side, granting users a rare freedom — to design the architectural layout of their own kitchen. This modularity enables Brooklyn to fully adapt to the character of any interior, whether minimalistic, industrial, or warm and contemporary.
Beyond all technical capabilities, the most striking feature of Brooklyn is its lighting signature. A dynamic LED strip with adjustable temperature and intensity allows users to create ambiance according to mood and moment: from subtle lighting that enhances the atmosphere, to a strong, focused beam that highlights the work surface. This transformative ability turns Brooklyn not just into an appliance, but into a composed lighting installation.
The technological heart of the system is concealed within an A+++ energy class extraction unit, equipped with an 800 m³/h brushless motor that operates almost silently. Brooklyn also utilizes advanced Carbon.Zero Microtech regenerative filters, capable of simultaneously absorbing odors and reducing moisture from cooking vapors. This is a new generation of extraction — quiet, efficient, and environmentally conscious.
Ease of use is ensured through a touch panel with three speeds and an additional boost mode, along with the option of remote control via Falmec Dialogue System technology, which enables communication with compatible cooktops.
Brooklyn does not dominate the space — it completes it. Subtle holders for glasses and kitchen paper, crafted in the same dark tones, reinforce the visual harmony. Every detail expresses a perfect balance of design and function, Italian craftsmanship and modern technology.
As one of the most influential brands in the field of extraction systems, Falmec reaffirms its philosophy with this project: the kitchen must be a place of silence, clean air, and pleasant atmosphere. Brooklyn adds a new dimension to that vision. It is not merely an extractor. It is an architectural element, a lighting object, a design statement — and the beginning of an entirely new aesthetic for the modern home.
