In the world of luxury beauty, fragrance is no longer confined to the skin. The latest collection from Guerlain expands the boundaries of sensory experience, bringing iconic notes from its Les Extraits universe directly into the spaces we inhabit.
The L’Art & La Matière collection introduces a refined line of luxury candles and soaps that elevate everyday rituals into moments of sophistication. Unlike perfumes that accompany the individual, these creations shape the atmosphere itself—infusing each room with a distinctive Guerlain signature.
Inspired by the celebrated Les Extraits fragrances, the collection is not a direct translation, but a thoughtful reinterpretation. As Delphine Jelk, the brand’s Creative Director of Fragrance, explains, the goal was not to replicate a scent identically, but to diffuse its emotion throughout space—like a memory that lingers softly in the air.
At the heart of the collection are elegant candles housed in the brand’s iconic faceted vessels, adorned with the signature bee motif—one of Guerlain’s most enduring symbols. Available in six carefully curated shades, from subtle white and golden yellow to deep midnight blue and rich mahogany brown, these candles embody a seamless blend of design and olfactory artistry. A set is priced at $165, while 220 g refills are available for $90.
Equally compelling are the soaps from the same line, sculpted like precious stones and enriched with nourishing shea butter. Drawing inspiration from the legendary Guerlinade accords—such as Rose Centifolia, Iris Pallida, Jasmin Grandiflorum, Vanille Planifolia, Tonka Sarrapia, and Bergamote Fantastico—they create a rich, creamy lather that gently cares for the skin while leaving behind a subtle yet lasting scent. Each 150 g soap is priced at $55.
This collection represents a natural evolution of Guerlain’s long-standing heritage in perfumery. By extending its expertise beyond personal fragrance and into the home, the brand offers not just products, but a complete lifestyle vision.
In an era where luxury is increasingly defined by experience rather than possession, Guerlain delivers something both delicate and powerful: the possibility not just to wear fragrance—but to live within it.
