Italian luxury bathroom brand Glass Design introduces ESSENZA MURANO, an exclusive countertop washbasin crafted from the celebrated Murano glass, combining traditional craftsmanship, contemporary design, and the expressive beauty of color. Available in striking blue and red variations, this sculptural creation transforms everyday rituals into a refined aesthetic experience, demonstrating how a single carefully selected detail can redefine the atmosphere of an entire bathroom.
Contemporary luxury bathrooms are increasingly evolving into private wellness sanctuaries, where functionality is simply expected, while materials, textures, and colors take center stage in creating a distinctive atmosphere.
This philosophy is perfectly reflected in the work of Glass Design, an Italian brand that explores the extraordinary possibilities of one of the most prestigious materials in the history of decorative arts through its ESSENZA MURANO collection.
The result is a washbasin that transcends its practical purpose, becoming a captivating decorative centerpiece within the interior.
Sculptural Design Inspired by the Elegance of a Glass Goblet
ESSENZA MURANO is distinguished by its unusual, fluid silhouette, reminiscent of an elegant glass goblet.
Unlike conventional washbasins defined by precise geometric lines, this model features gently curved surfaces and a generously opened upper rim, giving it an almost sculptural appearance.
Its aesthetic is built around the relationship between light and glass. The transparency of the material allows colors, subtle gradients, and internal textures to shift depending on the viewing angle and surrounding illumination.
Every detail highlights the distinctive qualities of traditional Murano glass craftsmanship, transforming the washbasin into a remarkable design object capable of complementing a variety of interior styles.
ESSENZA MURANO is not merely a functional bathroom fixture but a miniature artistic installation in which light, color, and material combine to create a unique visual experience.
Its graceful proportions and delicate appearance introduce a sense of movement and elegance, allowing the piece to stand out without overwhelming the surrounding space.
Blue or Red: Two Colors, Two Completely Different Atmospheres
Particular attention is drawn to the two available versions of this luxury washbasin, each offering a different approach to interior design.
The blue ESSENZA MURANO is ideally suited to spaces characterized by tranquility, relaxation, and sophisticated elegance.
Its rich tones evoke a sense of calm and harmony, making it an appealing choice for bathrooms conceived as intimate retreats dedicated to relaxation and everyday self-care rituals.
In contrast, the red ESSENZA MURANO introduces energy, warmth, and a more expressive decorative character.
Its vibrant shade transforms the washbasin into a striking visual focal point, particularly when paired with neutral surfaces, natural stone, or minimalist bathroom furniture.
Both versions feature the richness of color and subtle tonal variations characteristic of Murano glass, giving each piece a distinctive visual identity.
The choice between the two colors allows designers and homeowners to establish entirely different atmospheres while maintaining the same refined sculptural aesthetic.
Murano Glass as a Symbol of Italian Craftsmanship
The choice of material lies at the very heart of the ESSENZA MURANO collection.
For centuries, Murano glass has occupied a special place in Italian art and design, thanks to the exceptional glassmaking techniques that have established the island of Murano as an internationally renowned center of craftsmanship.
Its distinctive appeal lies in its ability to express visual lightness, vibrant color, and sophisticated texture simultaneously.
Glass Design brings this remarkable tradition into the contemporary bathroom, connecting historic artisanal expertise with modern approaches to interior design.
The fluid silhouette of the washbasin further emphasizes the expressive qualities of glass, while its transparency creates an intriguing interplay of light and reflections.
In this way, a traditional material takes on an entirely new function without losing the artistic identity that has made it so highly valued.
The result is a sophisticated balance between heritage and innovation, demonstrating how centuries-old craftsmanship can remain relevant within the most contemporary luxury interiors.
A Luxury Washbasin Combining Aesthetics and Functionality
Beyond its striking appearance, ESSENZA MURANO is designed as a practical countertop washbasin for modern bathrooms.
With a diameter of approximately 400 mm and a height of 155 mm, its proportions allow it to be installed on a variety of bathroom countertops and vanity units.
The model is supplied with a brass free-flow waste and a matching base ring, ensuring that the essential functional components complement its refined design.
Thanks to its compact dimensions and expressive silhouette, ESSENZA MURANO can become the centerpiece of a luxurious private bathroom, as well as an elegant feature in prestigious hotels and other carefully designed interiors.
Its distinctive character makes it particularly appealing for spaces where individual design elements are selected not only for their practical qualities but also for their ability to contribute to a memorable visual identity.
By combining functional simplicity with the artistic richness of Murano glass, Glass Design creates a bathroom fixture that feels both contemporary and timeless.
When Everyday Rituals Become an Experience of Luxury
With the ESSENZA MURANO collection, Glass Design demonstrates that luxury in contemporary interiors does not necessarily depend on grand architectural gestures or extravagant decorative features.
Sometimes, a single exceptional object is enough to transform the character of an entire space through its shape, material, and color.
The sculptural elegance of ESSENZA MURANO encourages a different way of experiencing the bathroom, turning an ordinary functional element into a source of visual pleasure.
Its translucent surfaces, expressive colors, and graceful silhouette introduce a sense of artistry into a space traditionally defined by practicality.
ESSENZA MURANO represents a harmonious fusion of traditional Italian artistry and contemporary design, bringing the timeless elegance of Murano glass into the bathroom and transforming everyday moments into experiences filled with beauty, light, and color.
