If your skin gets goose-bumps whenever you hear of Aladdin and his lamp, we’ve got something for you...
Somewhere in Ohio, in a huge multi-level master suite, we’ve found a gorgeously themed home theater. Shane Horner of Horner Networks describes the challenge of putting it together as “it was definitely unique – we’d never done anything like that before.” Jeff Knezevich of Amazing Design and Shelley Lutz of Lutz Décor have taken care of every automation- and A/V-related issues. They said “It was fun trying to figure it all out. The shape and construction were definitely obstacles to overcome.” Needless to mention, the room is weirdly shaped like a bottle.
Furthermore, the curved walls were a total contraindication for any two-piece projection system; therefore a 65-inch Sony flat-panel LED TV was mounted. The layout and design of the room weren’t at all ideal for surround sound purposes, but the problems were masterfully addressed to. As the builder was pouring concrete for the room, there were speaker molds fitted through the place around which the concrete was poured. This would form cubby holes which were filled by Horner with a full Triad Speakers surround-sound system.
In addition to the state of the art surround sound system, the genie theme was further enhanced by intricate fiber-optic lighting, backlights which make the room’s gold and purple accents glitter when turned on, gorgeous crystal chandeliers, exquisite upholstery and velvety curtains.
