Anonymous is selling his Bugatti Centodieci - which has not been produced yet

Remember the amazing Bugatti Centodieci model that delighted the whole world by appearing at the 2019 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance?

The limited edition hypercar is the second most expensive Bugatti that was originally presented with a price of eight million euros. The only model more expensive than it is the La Voiture Noire, which reportedly costs an incredible 18.5 million euros. Bugatti announced that it will construct only 10 copies of Centodieci, and all ten were bought before the public debut, which is a trend in the last ten years. However, one of the promising owners decided to sell his place on the waiting list through Luxury Car Consulting in France, probably trying to make a huge amount of money.

The practice of reselling expensive and rare cars is not at all unusual. Moreover, collectors often buy desirable cars considering them an investment, and then profit from them a few years later. We had the opportunity to see how people make money selling their relatively new limited edition cars, offering them to anyone who did not get the opportunity to submit their request in the order book. However, most brands do not like it when their customers do it and often put them on the blacklists, forbidding them to buy in the future. Ford went one step further with its GT supercar, when it forced all its customers to sign a contract banning them from selling cars for at least two years from the date of delivery - and that is exactly what got John Cena in trouble. However, we can rarely see someone selling their supercar without them even leaving the production line.

The Bugatti Centodieci was created as a homage to the Bugatti EB110 from the 1990s. The model uses the same eight-liter W16 as the rest of the Chiron setup, but got a different tuning with 1,578 horsepower, or 99 more than the standard Chiron. It is also 22 kilograms lighter than the regular model, which is achieved by various weight reduction measures, such as the addition of light wipers and carbon stabilizers. The Bugatti was almost spotted testing the Centodieci at the Nurburgring in Germany, fine-tuning it before the start of delivery scheduled for this year. And while Luxury Car Consulting does not mention the price of a place on the order list, according to the rumours, the reference figure is 10,500,000 euros. It will be interesting to see how Bugatti reacts to this news and whether, for now, the anonymous buyer will be blacklisted forever.
