It's finally here: Aston Martin Valhalla

Aston Martin has finally introduced the Valhalla hybrid supercar with production specifications, and we have to admit, a lot has changed since the debut of the original 2019 concept…

Three years ago, the British car brand presented the first set of rendering Valhalla models, which was supposed to represent a top beast with a V6 engine and a price of 1.3 million dollars. However, since then, the ownership of the company has changed to save it from ruin, and the former AMG boss, Tobias Moers, has been brought in as the new CEO. Under his leadership, Aston Martin has undergone major strategic changes, and Valhalla is just one of them.

The model kept its interesting name and some of the design elements, while most of the parts were completely changed. The biggest change comes in the form of the AMG V8 engine that will power it instead of the aforementioned V6. According to the information we received, the Valhalla 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 is based on the AMG GT Black series engine, while it will reach its maximum at 7,200 rpm, with 740 horsepower.

AMG V8 will receive assistance in the form of two electric motors, which will add 200 horsepower to it. One of the engines will be placed on the front axle and will drive the front wheels, while the other will be placed in the transmission, to help the V8 unit. Aston Martin says that Valhalla will have a total of 937 horsepower, which will be enough to accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometres per hour in 2.5 seconds and for a maximum speed of 350 kilometres per hour. The British also claim that Valhalla will cross one lap at the Nurburgring in 6:30, which will absolutely destroy the current record.

For now, Aston Martin has not yet provided information regarding the batteries, but the EV mode will have a maximum speed of 130 kilometres per hour and a transition range of about 15 kilometres. When it comes to design, Valhalla has a similar design DNA as we saw in Valkyrie. In place of the rear window, this hybrid got an engine cover with two exhaust pipes, and instead uses cameras, the contents of which are broadcast on the control panel.

The official prices of the model have yet to be presented, but it is expected to stop at around 800,000 dollars, which is a big reduction compared to the original price of 1.3 million dollars. The first deliveries should start in the second quarter of 2023.
