Unique Pagani Zonda breaks a world record

During August this year, we received news that the unique Pagani Zonda Aether will be auctioned...

The Zonda model was officially dropped from production six years ago, but its hard-working fans manage to force the celebrity brand to continue creating extremely limited special editions. Launched in 2017, Zonda Aether is one of the last to carry the Zonda designation, which makes it really special. In addition, this model set a new record, being the most expensive Pagani ever sold, reaching $ 6.8 million during an auction sale in Abu Dhabi.

Before the auction itself, the model was estimated to be worth about $ 4.5 million, and that figure was exceeded at lightning speed during the auction. According to auction house RM Sotheby's, "the evolution of the supercar in the hybrid era has made enthusiasts want a true, analog driving experience." For this very reason, the unique Pagani Zonda Aether has been labeled "ultra desirable".

The Zonda Aether is powered by a powerful 7.3 liter V12 engine derived from AMG, which is tuned to deliver 760 horsepower. Fitted with a six-speed manual transmission, this engine sends its power to the rear wheels. The Aether model features a handmade body, custom-made mainly from carbon and other ultra-lightweight materials.

The style of its exterior may seem familiar to you because of its roadster appearance, large rear wing and massive roof element. This unique supercar shares many design details with the seductive Cinque Roadster that was introduced about ten years ago. The driver's cab is perfectly minimalistic, for the sake of maintaining low weight. It is equipped with Zonda HP Barchetta / Huayra BC seats, while the door handles are replaced with leather straps.
