Ulysse Nardin debuts new diver watches

New models will be tested in Antarctica, the Caribbean and during the world's toughest sailing solo race…

The Ulysse Nardin brand has just launched a group of new diving watches. This brand has been known for its marine chronometers and seafarers since it was founded 173 years ago. Still, the brand has decided to take its history to a whole new level.

They have decided to show that all models with their signature have an X factor, which their fans can appreciate. Therefore, in order to test and perfectly present their new line of diving watches, the brand hired a group of hardcore sports ambassadors - a polar explorer and a free diver.

“They are active in sports with little or no money. You can set a world record for free diving, but will you earn anything from it? Hardly. I respect that, to be honest. I admire the people who do things because they want it, not just for the money,”said Patrick Pruneau, CEO of the brand.

Ulysse Nardin Diver X Antarctica

Designed as an homage to the natural environment that inspired it, this model features a 44mm case, it is priced at $ 8,900, and is dedicated to men. Its design is inspired by the snowy landscapes of the southernmost point of our planet, as applied to its strap, base, and indices, while the dial is a direct association to volcanic mountains and rocks formed during the Jurassic period. The blue accents on the energy reserve indicator are created as mimicry of the color of Antarctic ice reefs.

Lady Diver X

Twelve years after the launch of the first collection of dive watches for ladies, Ulysse Nardin took this opportunity to promote new models. The new watches are sporty in style and not too bulky and look really stylish on the wrist. You can wear them wherever you go, not just when you go diving. The diameter of this model is 39 millimeters, and it is presented in three colors - with a dark blue dial with pink gold accents, all housed in a stainless steel case with a heavy strap ($ 10,800); mother-of-pearl dial in white-strap steel case ($ 10,800); DLC matte black steel dial in rose gold case, with black strap and forty diamonds on base ($ 14,900).

The limited edition of 300 pieces, called Great White, was created in a similar fashion to the previous version of the men's watch of the same name. The back of the watch received a picture of a female free diver as a form of support from the brand's newest female ambassador, Alessia Zecchini.

In addition, we must emphasize that all watches in the new collection are waterproof to a depth of 300 meters.

Diver X Cape Horn & Nemo Point

Ahead of the upcoming Vendee Globe race, the Ulysse Nardin brand has made two dive watches Diver x Nemo Point ($ 8,900) and Dive x Cape Horn ($ 9,900). Each model is named after the most challenging parts of the ocean.

The backs of both models were stamped in the form of the coordinates of the famous race route.
