In a world where the kitchen has become the true stage of the home, Abimis introduces a new interpretation of luxury through its Ego and Atelier lines — two perfectly sculpted visions of the kitchen as a place of functionality, aesthetics, and social life…
Crafted entirely from AISI 304 stainless steel, these kitchens combine professional-grade quality, durability, and visual purity in systems tailored exclusively to the client, the interior, and daily rituals.
Abimis island kitchens shape the space so that they become its natural epicenter — quietly dominant yet unmistakably present. The Ego line, designed by Alberto Torsello, is recognizable by its rounded volumes, hand–orbit-polished finish, and tone-on-tone recessed handles that create seamless fluidity. In contrast, Atelier approaches the kitchen through geometry and refined minimalism, while maintaining the same professional precision and artisanal dedication.
The versatile character of Ego is evident in projects across Paris and Rome. In the French capital, the island layout introduces a contemporary counterpoint to a refined, classical apartment with herringbone parquet, Art Nouveau stained-glass doors, and ornamental stucco. With its seamless countertop, raised anti-spill edge, integrated sink bowl, induction hob, and high-capacity modules, it harmonizes naturally with the historic shell of the residence.
A completely different atmosphere emerges in the Roman interior of industrial inspiration, where concrete floors, a neutral palette, and raw textures become the backdrop for the expressive power of stainless steel. Here, the central island is combined with a wall block housing double ovens, a wine cellar, and a freezer, while the island itself includes an induction cooktop, pop-up sockets, and rounded base cabinets for effortless maintenance. The curved edges, seamless surfaces, and hand-polished finishes prove that Ego feels equally at home in aristocratic Paris and raw, modern Rome.
Across the ocean, in a private villa in Napa Valley, Ego becomes the visual anchor of an expansive living area reminiscent of a modernized American farmhouse. Beneath a pitched roof and surrounded by panoramic glazing, the island kitchen features an integrated sink, ergonomic shallow plinth, and silent-close system made possible by its aluminum chamber structure — paired with a professional-grade rear block fully customized for the client.
Atelier, the more elegant and linear sibling of Ego, takes center stage at the Palaco Segreti hotel in Milan, where it stands in the guest kitchen like a sculptural luxury object. The island, equipped with an engraved gas hob, oven, high-capacity drawers, and handle-less doors, creates perfect harmony between the historic architecture — whitewashed bricks, vaulted ceilings, wooden flooring — and the reflections of hand-polished stainless steel.
In all these projects, material remains the central narrative. AISI 304 stainless steel — antibacterial, durable, and fully food-safe — brings professional performance to domestic environments, while Abimis’ design philosophy allows virtually limitless customization of proportions, functions, finishes, and configurations. Instead of producing kitchen furniture, Abimis creates architecture — sculptural, enduring, and entirely devoted to its user.
