Carlo Crocco in 1980. created „Hublot“ characterized by golden mechanism and natural rubber bracelet. First time in history of horology gold was combined with rubber. Soon after all leading companies used the idea and started making watches with rubber bracelets. Concept was confirmed.
„The Art of Fusion“ concept was made in 2004. Jean Clode Beaver bought „Hublot“ industry. Fusion meant combination of exotic materials like gold and ceramics, tantalum and red gold or magnesium with titanium. It also meant combination of classic and modern Swiss tradition in horology.
„Hublot“ company used ETA mechanism in last 10 years, but with launch of „King Power“ model showed first mechanism in black ceramic casing with 48mm in diameter. Mechanism that runs this watch is „flyback chronograph“, caliber HUB 1204 UNICO, completely made and developed in „Hublot“ company.
