Luxury watches and jewellery brand Jacob & Co. recently opened its largest store in Saudi Arabia.
The opening of the store was attended by brand ambassador Cristiano Ronaldo, whose wrist was adorned with a new model of the CR7 series created in his honour by the famous watchmaker.
The Portuguese soccer star attended the store opening in Riyadh last week and posted his emerald gift on Instagram. Cristiano also posted photos with Jacob Arab, the founder of the international luxury brand.
Ronaldo's new "Heart Of CR7 Baguette" is actually one of four new watches that the company has created in collaboration with him. It is valued at $117,000 and features a diamond bezel, a soccer ball-shaped movement cover and a clear sapphire crystal cover with an image of Ronaldo wearing his lucky number 7 shirt.
The watch is of course not the first gift that Ronaldo received from a luxury brand. In the first months of his much-talked-about move to Saudi club Al Nasr, he received another Jacob & Co watch adorned with precious green gemstones.
The new Jacob & Co store is located on Olaya Street, one of Riyadh's main arteries, and covers an area of 220 square meters. The company has stores on every continent and plans to open at least 10 more new boutiques this year, in locations that include Mumbai, Hong Kong, Macau and Bahrain.
