de Grisogono novelty - INSTRUMENTO CARBON CHRONO

Since its creation, de GRISOGONO has constantly invented new designs and concepts in the worlds of jewellery and watches.

After restoring the black diamond to its well-deserved noble status, Fawaz Gruosi let his imagination run free in creating a universe of contrasts with a strong focus on black. The designer began to blacken the movements in his timepiece collections, as well as setting the crown of its watches with the emblematic black diamond that has become a Maison signature. His attraction to the luxurious simplicity and timeless appeal of black has given birth to bold collections tinged with a subtly ostentatious touch.

The INSTRUMENTO CARBON CHRONO features the aesthetic constants of the de GRISOGONO style, in terms of both colours and contrasts. The deep black of the carbon case, dial and new larger integrated rubber strap endows this model with a timeless sporty look. Appearing through a cleverly orchestrated chiaroscuro effect, the green hues – echoing the colour codes of the Meccanico dG – impart a visual cadence to the passing of time. Above all, they embody one of Fawaz Gruosi’s favourite colours and the stone he particularly cherishes: the emerald. The creative aesthete envisions watches and jewellery with the same mind-set: instinctively, passionately and uncompromisingly.

Known as a composite material, carbon fiber has a very high strength-to-weight ratio. The INSTRUMENTO CARBON CHRONO’s case case and lugs are cut and shaped from solid blocks of carbon formed from stacks of compressed layers of carbon fibers. The layers create an original regular striped pattern visible on the sides of the case, contributing to a unique aesthetic element to the watch. The pattern is also visible on the sides of the movable lugs, perfectly aligned with the case.

A clever blend of materials and contrasts accentuates the sleek lines of the INSTRUMENTO N°UNO and creates a more angular face with taut, well-defined lines.
