Occhio was the first Haute Horlogerie release watch, which has been launched by brand De Grisogono, in 2005...
It was named because of its magnificent opening system, as translated from Italian, occhio means eye. As a camera, Occhio watch opens at the request of the wearer, to show its delicate details and stress its sophisticated elements. It can be perfectly described with a few words: prestige, elaborately crafted, playful, unique, masculine. It has a manual winding movement and is made of white or pink gold, and is available in a version of titanium or platinum. It is decorated refined black diamonds.
Its mechanism is particularly challenging creation and represents the top of the art of watchmaking since the 18th century. It is designed to be a mechanical marvel, and there is no need to hide any part. Its rounded body at the back displays delicate operation mechanism, or two hammers on the gongs and exclusive decoration. From the front, sharply curved sapphire crystal, as the camera lens, reveals the interplay of the mechanism - its arms, springs and gears.
During the creation of this watch, all the attention is focused on details: charcoal gray shade bridges create a dramatic contrast with the polished heads of screws, and moving parts possess their original metallic color. It was created as a limited edition, which is available in only 60 pieces.
