The partnership between the Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin brands that began in early 2021 has spawned a new limited-edition watch.
The Laureato Absolute Chronograph AMF1 Edition is the first collaborative watch specifically inspired by the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant Formula One team.

In addition to aerodynamics and engine power, weight is of paramount importance, so teams are constantly researching new innovative materials that promise to provide valuable weight savings. In this case, the AMF1 team transferred its incredible understanding of lightweight materials to the world of high horology.
What makes the new Girard-Perregaux watch special is the use of two new carbon composite materials made from carbon fibre taken from the 2021 team race cars. This revolutionary watch unites two worlds - micromechanics and extreme performance of Formula 1 ™.
The highlight of the Laureato Absolute Chronograph AMF1 edition is its avant-garde 4mm case made from a blend of titanium powder, coloured resin and remanufactured carbon fibre. The most modern material is made using a high-tech production process. It is also the first Laureato Absolute Chronograph model to feature a transparent sapphire cover featuring the Aston Martin brand along with a printed team logo.
The dial has a distinctive AM colour scheme. The main dial is shown in British racing green and has a finish along with an engraved diamond pattern texture inspired by the carmaker’s original logo. The hands showing the hours and minutes are made in lime green.
Inside the case is an automatic chronograph mechanism that offers a power reserve of 46 hours. Another novelty in the limited edition of the watch is its unique strap made of a special material, while the button, with its micro-adjustment system, allows the user to fine-tune the connection between the belt and the wrist.
Girard-Perregaux has announced that it will make only 306 copies of the watch, which is now available through authorized retailers for $ 27,800.
