MB&F presents a magical new timepiece

The LM101 Palladium has the sunray dial in incredible blue and green in the spotlight…

The simplest series in the MB&F range, made up of mostly avant-garde timepieces, is the Legacy Machine Collection, launched in 2011, is based on an interesting concept: all pieces must look like the MB&F brand actually resides in a period that took place 100 years ago. At first glance, the round case of this model suggests a classic wristwatch. Upon a closer look, the dramatic "flying" balance spring housed beneath the dome crystal defies any idea of conventionality.

Fans of Legacy Machine No.1 and its five-year-old younger brother, the LM101 - the first MB&F caliber to be fully conceived and designed within their workshop - knew all this. The LM101 just got a brand new exterior and that's exactly what we're focusing on this time. The LM101 Palladium model marks the first time that this brand has used rare metal from the platinum group.

Its silvery-white details contrast perfectly with the interesting dial of this model, whose shade can hardly be determined and goes from blue to green and vice versa. "I first thought it was a greenish gray, then it turned grayish blue and then blue green," says MB&F founder, Max Busser on his Instagram account. “In the end, I was totally confused, but completely in love with the new color of the LM101 Palladium model. Palladium is very difficult to process mechanically, just like platinum, but it is lighter and more expensive. This material will never be used again to create the Legacy Machine 101, so the 18 pieces the collection will bring will be truly special." The price of this model is $ 58,000.
