Richard Mille presents a new special edition watch

The Le Mans Classic event, which is adored by fans of vintage sports cars, will return to the scene in July next year, after it was cancelled due to the corona virus in 2020…

This event celebrates the rich history of 24 Hours of Le Mans, and gives its visitors the opportunity to see in person some of the best race cars ever created. To mark their return, the main sponsor of the event, Richard Mille, presented a limited edition watch that wore traditional green and white.

The Richard Mille RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic, as the name suggests, is based on the famous brand’s RM 029 watch. This is the eighth Le Mans Classic special edition created by Richard Mille, who has been sponsoring this event since it was launched in 2002. Its tonneau case is made of white and green TPT quartz, which gives the watch an extremely sporty look. The mentioned material is not only light, but also impact resistant. The corona and skeletonized dial received bright orange accents, as a perfect contrast to the theme of the watch.

The skeletonized dial was given an oversized window to display the date at the four o’clock position, a 24-hour counter, an event logo, along with an insight into the functioning of the titanium automatic mechanism, RMAS7. The automatic mechanism offers a power reserve of 55 hours. The sports watch is paired with a Richard Mille rubber strap in the appropriate white colour. Only 150 copies of the Richard Mille RM 029 Automatic Le Mans Classic watch will be created, and can be purchased through the brand's official website and at authorized dealers.
